From Liverpool to Goa’s streets

30+ dogs sterilised this month — thanks to the people who show up every day

I’ve connected with many rescuers and feeders on the ground in Goa who I support daily — with donations, advice, and sometimes just a listening ear after a stressful day. In the past month alone we’ve helped successfully sterilise 30+ dogs — something that wouldn’t have been possible without these amazing people. Your gift goes straight into that work. My wonderful friends and helpers do all the ground work — including veterinary care when it’s needed.

Why it matters

Life on Goa’s streets is brutal for dogs

Street dogs in Goa face hunger, injury, disease, and constant risk. Many are unneutered, so packs grow and suffering multiplies. Without people on the ground, they have almost no chance of help.

We’re a small team working where the dogs live — not from a desk. We catch when needed, arrange neutering and treatment when we can, free them safely back when they’re ready, and keep food coming on regular feeding rounds. Veterinary help is sought as and when it’s needed — not a fixed partnership, just care when a dog is in trouble.

Your money goes straight into food, medicine, surgery, and fuel for the work.

100% for the dogs

Donations fund neutering ops, emergency medical treatment when it’s needed, vaccines and meds, and daily feeding for dogs living rough.

What we do

Three pillars of care on the ground

From first catch to full belly — this is how we help dogs survive and thrive on Goa’s streets.

Capture & Neuter

We carefully capture dogs that need it, take them for professional neutering, then free them back to their territory when they’re recovered. Humane, effective, and essential for long-term welfare.

Medical Treatment

When a dog is hurt or ill, we seek veterinary help as and when it’s needed — wounds, infections, mange, accidents, and whatever else street life throws at them. No dog is left to suffer if we can reach them.

Feeding Rounds

Street life is hungry work. We run regular feeding rounds so dogs get reliable food — especially critical in tough seasons and for the sick, young, and elderly.

About me

Hi, I’m Kay — and this is why I started.

Two years ago I went to Goa on holiday — and I couldn’t unsee the street dogs. Hungry, hurt, ignored. Beautiful souls surviving on the edge of paradise.

What began as compassion on a trip became something I couldn’t leave behind. I stayed connected. I found people who cared as much as I did. And I built a small team on the ground in Goa — real humans who capture, neuter, treat, feed, and free dogs every day. When medical care is needed, we seek veterinary help as and when — not through a formal partnership, just when a dog needs it.

I live in Liverpool and run Save the Dogs in Goa from my home — in my spare time, as a passion. I’m in constant daily contact with the rescuers and feeders I support. This isn’t a distant charity with a big office. It’s me, them, and the dogs — every single day.

Every donation is personal. It becomes bowls of food on a feeding round, medicine for a wound, or a neutering op that stops the next generation of suffering before it starts.

I’m not a big organisation. I’m Kay — one person who refused to look away, with a team in Goa who show up.

Your impact

You can change one dog’s whole world

Behind every amount is a real animal — hungry, hurting, or just waiting for someone to care. Your kindness doesn’t vanish into a fund. It becomes a full bowl, a clean wound, a second chance.

“Some of them have never known a kind hand. The day we feed them, treat them, or bring them back from the edge — you can see it in their eyes. They know someone fought for them.”

£5

Every bit counts

A small gift still matters — helps cover a share of food on a feeding round for a dog who needs it today.

£10

A full belly tonight

Helps put food out on a feeding round — so a hungry dog doesn’t have to scavenge through the night alone.

£25

Ease the pain

Supports meds, wound care, or deworming — small things that can mean the difference between suffering and rest.

£50

A chance to heal

Goes toward a vet visit for injury or illness — because no dog should be left to suffer on the side of a road.

It doesn’t have to be everything. It just has to be something. One gift. One dog. One moment they finally feel safe.

Give with your heart

Amounts are guides — every day is different. We’ll always put your gift where a dog needs it most.

Dogs can’t wait. Streets don’t pause.

If you can give today, you’re putting food and medical care into real paws on the ground in Goa.
